7:00-8:30 p.m.
Whether you have been with us from the beginning or are new to VCRJ, we invite you join us. In the spirit of sankofa, we will reflect on VCRJ’s work this past year and how we move forward, journeying together.
We will gather via Zoom which will include small group breakouts where we will have an opportunity to share stories from this past year.
The Henriette Delille Tiny Saint Project
Did you know that Mother Mary Lange and Sister Henriette Delille started their own orders because they were not allowed to join white orders? Did you know Fr. Augustus Tolton was not allowed to be ordained in the U.S. Catholic Church because of the color of his skin?
Through this project, our hope is that the Saintly Six inspires Catholics to emulate their example of their steadfast faith and dedication to the service of others. Despite the obstacles, challenges, and hardships they endured because of the color of their skin, they are timeless models of holiness for all Catholics today.

Our Story
Birthed out of the small groups of JustFaith Ministries’ racial justice modules, Virginia Catholics for Racial Justice is a network of people across the Diocese of Richmond who have moved from conversation to action.
Our grassroots ministry engages in an inclusive, welcoming, and on-going process to form and transform us into anti-racist individuals, and to build an anti-racist church.
We are guided by our faith, our experiences, discernment, relationship building at all levels, identification of strengths, affirmation of gifts, and the movement of the Holy Spirit to lead us to transformative action.
